Business Programs
Brown Mackie’s business programs prepare students for entry-level employment in the fields of accounting, advertising, management, sales, and marketing.
In each program, a blend of professional and technical skills are emphasized, offering students an opportunity to develop technical proficiency and business principles, as well as critical problem solving and analysis skills through a general education curriculum.
Accounting (Diploma and Certificate)
The diploma programs in accounting serve to prepare students for entry-level accounting positions through courses in accounting, technology and business.
Accounting Technology (Associate of Applied Business, Associate of Applied Science, Associate of Science)
The accounting technology program leads to an associate’s degree through courses in business and accounting principles and is complemented by general education courses. The program teaches students accounting skills such as posting debits and credits, financial statements, reports, invoices, and payroll.
Advertising (Diploma)
Students earn a diploma in advertising through studies of marketing, design, ethics, psychology, communication, and computers.
Business (Diploma and Certificate)
The diploma program in business provides students business skills through instruction in microcomputer applications, technical business procedure, and business practice and principles.
Business Administration (Bachelor of Science)
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program offers students a combination of general studies, including math, humanities, and social science, as well as business-specific courses that provide a solid foundation of business principles and procedures. The program is designed to help students start entry-level business careers or advance in their current field.
Business Management (Associate of Applied Business, Associate of Applied Science, Associate of Science)
The business management associate’s degree program provides instruction in technology and management principles and aims to provide students skills such as small business management, payroll, marketing, human resources, and presentations.
Sales and Marketing (Associate of Applied Science)
In the associate program for sales and marketing, students are taught theory, strategy, design, and layout, giving them the necessary skills for marketing analysis, market research, business plan development, advertising campaigns, and professional presentations.
